Developments in the computer field and industry are no doubt driving inovations and speeding up developements in every sector of the economy in both the developed and the developing world. The rapid advances in the field of computer technology is rendering PCs near obsolete just about one year of being introduced into the market.

Even the eagle-eyed technology watcher is ever struggling to keep pace with the computer models being rolled out by the major PC and laptop producers. Designers of computer and other electronic products including PCs, laptops, storage and mobile devices are not even waiting for the products they have designed to be manufactured and released on the market before designing the next and successive models of the product. Computer designers we were told are now moving beyond silicon chips to designing DNA chips.

Innovative products and services in computing and communication technologies are being introduced at unprecedented speed at which some of the new computer and communication devices are being produced and released on the market is being to be linked to the processing speed of some of these devices.

Users of these technologies are expected to learn new things or trial new products or upgrade, enhancement of existing products or subscribe to new services ever so often in a given year. Students are not left either, during the eight short semesters that college students spend between thier freshmen days and the day they wear their graduating gown, they no doubt ride on a number of technological waves of new technological product releases in computing and the communications field.
